I just finished "The Book Thief." It is very good, and it's easy to read.
Hard to pick just one...but Anne Lamott's 'Crooked Little Heart' where I fell in love with the idea of being a 30-something mother of a young girl. Anne Tyler's 'Ladder of Years' where I yearly get my fix of wanting to walk down the beach and out of my life. And of of course 'Anne of Green Gables' by LM Montgomery.
